Most of us know that the Indians, the Wampanoag tribe, helped save the first pilgrims from starvation. Something you might not be aware of is that only 3 Indians were invited to come to the pilgrims first harvest festival, one being the chief and the other two, his assistants who spoke the English language. Instead, the chief brought 90 others and three days worth of food, resulting in a 3-day feast.
I am thankful to those Native Americans who gave so much to their English brothers. And to all who have made this country a great place to live. I am ever grateful for my wonderful family, friends, and readers that continue to bless my life each and every day. Let us all remember our blessings not only today, but each day of the year, and give back to those in need, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual.
